  [Update!] Fakefactory Cinematic Mod 6.5 Progress Report Pics! - Mod News

Following the 3 preview pictures released early this month (also attached below), Fakefactory has released a further 8 teaser pictures depicting progress of v6.5 including HDR!

Here's a quote from Fakefactory himself:

I have reworked most wall/ground/signs textures for higher details (I *had* to do this after playing Crysis with its insane amount of details). Now you can virtually kiss all walls in HL2 without seeing low-res pixels.

Things are going well. CM6.5 is 90% done. But I have to wait for VALVE's permission to include the recompiled maps. So ... no estimated release date possible.
