  Team Fortress 2 & Source SDK & Steam Client Updates - Steam News

A bunch of minorTF2, Source SDK and Steam Client updates were released around the 1st of May. Here's the full scoop if you're not updated/aware of it already.

Team Fortress 2 Update Released:

Team Fortress 2 Client

  • Removed TF2 achievement console commands

    Team Fortress 2 Server

  • Fixed clients being able to trigger sv_soundscape_printdebuginfo on the server
  • Fixed potential "nuke" exploit in rcon subsystem

    Source SDK

  • Team Fortress 2’s game objects for new 'Payload' gameplay are now available to map makers
  • Custom settings in Hammer are no longer overwritten when the SDK is restarted

    Steam Client

  • Added the ability to block all communications from another user
  • Added an option to timestamp friends messages
  • Added an option to configure taskbar window flashing behavior on friends messages
  • Added background detection of game updates while Steam is running
  • Fixed backups failing for certain games, and made other improvements to it
