Half-Life²:SUBSTANCE GOLD gives the HL2 single player campaign harder challenges and hectic action: 4 gamemodes to test your skills with, a wide array of weapons and 5 different player classes to best suit your gaming style. Welcome to the real Substance, what action is made of!

Features:

- New single player campaign modes: European Extreme mode is a nightmare/legendary difficulty with all the Substance features but no extra encounters - best for low-level hardwares; the Gordon Tales are an alternate take on Freeman's arrival to C17, which start with a new intro and follow his steps in the Seventeen Years War - think of the chaos of the "Follow Freeman!" chapter,only from the beginning; while Survivor mode is based on health management and trades Halo shields for medikits, so you must save and leech health or an error too many in the canals could prove fatal only in the citadel!;

[GORDON FREEMAN] is a scientist and knows how to play defensively while exploiting his enemies' advanced technology to build friendly units and nasty traps.
Abilities: HEV Shield (protects from damage and melee attacks in particular) and thermal flashlight (can be focused until it burns enemies)

[LIQUID SNAKE] is the terrorist leader of fox-hound and his specialties are mass killings and stylish matrixesque executions with any kind of weapon or even bare-handed fights.
Abilities: Killing Spree,HEV Knuckles,super throw (splash enemies with crates or barrels),extended bullet time
Weapons: punch,tazer,stunstick+manhack,desert eagle,AK47,HK23,Vulcan minicannon,super shotgun 1/2/4 ammo,cluster incendiary grenade,quad free fire rpg,bugbait+antlion,berserk ggun;

[SOLID SNAKE] is a talented spy who relies on his stealth camouflage to evade capture or to approach and kill unaware foes in close quarters combat or silent arms.
Abilities: Stealth Camouflage,Fortune Device (EMP explosion that hurts close enemies and makes impossible for enemy bullets to hit you),HL1 Long Jump Module,Double Jump and Leap attack (mid-air melee attacks are stronger)
Weapons: knife,silenced pistol,silenced famas,silenced crossbow with normal+fire+explosive arrows,gravity gloves (choke enemies!),the slam,chaff grenade (converted combines are friendly to you and slaughter each other),quad free fire rpg,bugbait+antlion,berserk ggun;

[BIG BOSS] is an infiltrator who has learnt the ways of the predator in the jungle, healing his own wounds and capping his targets from afar with famed precision.
Abilities: morfine shot,nightvisions,crouch mimetism
Weapons: hunting knife,stunstick+manhack,flaregun,free fire scoped desert eagle,scoped tranquillizer shotgun,scoped AWP with embedded bullet time,scoped bigger jackhammer,scoped OICW,quad free fire rpg,bugbait+antlion,berserk ggun,proximity headcrab;

[GRAY FOX] is a ninja wrath who shifts through the fabric of reality to coldly murder any living thing fool enough to try and oppose him. This form is locked until you beat the game once.
Abilities: Shift to Spectral Plane,Ultimate Fortune Device and Instant Gib with any weapon
Weapons: progressive katana,sns-50,sawed-off,xm-8,AUG rifle,super ggun,covenant grenade,chaff grenade,slam,quad free fire rpg,bugbait+antlion;

- General fixes: stats are now ported through levels,fixed bugs concerning invisibility,blue grids and turrets. If you get stuck in a level,hit the Bugfix button on the main menu. If you get too many crashes,lower your audiovideo details and customize your launch options as stated in the FAQs;

- System requirements: 1G ram, 2.5Ghz processor for medium detail,anisotropic and AAS disabled.

CROWBAR
- Primary attack is fast but short ranged.
- Secondary attack delivers a faster and stronger blow,but depletes its limited energy source fast.
- Scoring a kill grants you a 5 health bonus.

TAZER
- Primary attack swings the device back and forth causing minor damage.
- Secondary attack electrocutes the target causing an higly damaging electroshock which depletes its limited energy source.
- Can be recalled via the Punch key.
- Powered up by Killing Spree.
- Scoring a kill grants you a 5 health bonus.

KNIFE
- Primary and secondary attacks deal swift and deadly combo attacks that can make short story of any enemy in no time.
- Can be recalled via the Punch key.
- Try using the knife together with the HEV Stealth ability.
- Scoring a kill grants you a 5 health bonus.

HUNTING DAGGER
- Primary attack swings the knife at your targets causing moderate damage.
- Secondary attack is stronger,but energy demanding too.
- Scoring a kill grants you a 5 health bonus.

PROGRESSIVE BLADE
- Instant kill.
- Medium range.
- Dash and time your swings.
- Scoring a kill grants you a 5 health bonus.

PUNCH
- A quick punch that can be recalled with the Melee Attack key.
- Powered up by Killing Spree and HEV Knuckles.

STUNSTICK
- Primary attack is a very strong and slow physical blow that stuns enemies. No ammo requirements.
- Secondary attack launches a friendly manhack that works for you,especially good to get shot in your place or to slice up melee attackers.

USP
- Primary attack provides good damage to waste cops and zombies easy. 12 bullets per clip assure constant firepower.
- Supports Burst Shot.

DUAL COLTS
- Primary attack shoots the 2 colts in close succession.
- Clip hosts 7 bullets for each gun
- Powered up by Killing Spree

SILENCED PISTOL
- Primary attack is stealthy,precise and extremely damaging for a handgun. Clip holds 12 bullets.
- Supports Burst Shot.

SCOPED DESERT EAGLE
- Primary attack shoots highly damaging bullets as fast as you can press the shoot button.
- Clips contain 6 bullets each.
- Secondary attack zooms in and out.
- Supports Burst Shot.

SNS 50
- Primary attack kills.
- Clip hosts 7 bullets.
- Slow fire rate.

FLAREGUN
- Primary attack fires a burning flare,fatal for anyone who touches it. Clips hosts 6 flares each.
- Secondary attack shoots a napalm wave that burns anyone who is caught in the trail of fire.


MP5 + GRENADER
- Primary attack is versatile for all situations but you can only bring 3 more clips with you,50 bullets each.
- Secondary attack equips and launches one of your standard grenades,meaning you won't have to find those impossible smg1-only ones.
- Supports Burst Shot.

AK-47 RIFLE
- Primary attack deals higher damage than the MP5,with superior firerate and worst precision.
- Perfect precision when used in Bullet Time
- Powered up by Killing Spree
- Supports Burst Shot.

SILENCED FAMAS
- Primary attack deals medium damage but is handicapped by a small 25 bullets clip.
- Use it to weak or lure away enemies before finishing them with more powerful attacks
- Supports Burst Shot.

HK-23E
- Primary attack deals high damage but clip and stash are limited to 30 explosive bullets.
- Fast reloading system.

I-RIFLE (ball launcher)
- Primary attack employs normal irifle ammo to generate a big ball of dark matter that explodes after less than a second. Use it as mix between a shotgun (short range),a snipergun (precision required) and a grenade launcher (splash effect). Uses just 1 out of the 3 available ammo per clip.
- Secondary attack shoots a small orb that flies and bounces for 4 seconds. Best in a closed enviroment,yet it can also be used to snipe.

VULCAN MINICANNON
- Primary attack unleashes hell on earth until you become deaf after 500 consecutive shots fired at 1000 decibels.
- Ammo is quire rare and reloading times are life-long.
- Even more powered up by Killing Spree.
- Supports Burst Shot.

OICW
- Primary attack is extremely damaging and precise for a machinegun. Clips host 30 bullets each.
- Secondary attack zooms in and out.
- Supports Burst Shot.

XM-8
- Primary attack shoots highly explosive bullets that gib on impact.
- 500 bullets per clip sound enough for a start.
- Supports Burst Shot.

SPAS-12 SHOTGUN
- Primary attack shoots 6 pellets: not terribly powerful yet good as a middle ranged casual attack,before you plan a strategy. Each clip stores 6 bullets
- Secondary attack shoots 12 pellets: they deal quite a punch against a close target,but don't lower your guard and aim for the head.

M3 SUPER SHOTGUN
- Select your favorite firemode to either shoot 1,2 or 4 bullets at a single time.
- The more bullets you fire,the greater will be the inflicted damage (from small to gibbing). Clips are 8 bullets each.
- Slow reload.
- Powered up by Killing Spree.

HUNTING RIFLE
- Primary attack delivers a powerful,precise and quite fast hit that is akin to Father Grigori's attacks.
- Secondary attack zooms in and out.

SAWED-OFF
- Makes the target explode on hit.
- Clips are 8 bullets each.
- Slow reload.

JACKHAMMER REX
- Primary attack shoots like a shotgun with a high firerate.
- Best used when assaulting the enemy frontally. Each clip contains 12 bullets.
- Secondary attack makes you abandon your weapon on the ground as a portable turret,very good at tipping over Wink

JACKHAMMER RAY
- Primary attack shoots like a shotgun with a high firerate.
- Secondary attack zooms in and out.
- More powerful than the REX primary attack,but less accurate.
- Zooming improves accuracy.

STEALTH CROSSBOW
- Normal firemode impales targets,it's an instant kill for any combine.
- Electrical firemode fries them for a sadistic touch.
- Explosive firemode shoots arrows that blow on impact,causing medium splash all around.

AWP ARCTIC WARFARE
- Primary attack offers the best in the field of sniperguns: instant kill,perfect precision,10 bullets clip;
- Secondary attack zooms in and out
- Free Bullet Time equipped.
- Ammo is harder to find than usual.

AUG
- Instant kill. 12 bullets per clip.
- Secondary attack zooms in and out.

BERSERK G-GUN
- Primary attack zapps and pushes targets away: a 5 attacks combo makes the gun go berserk and morph into the super ggun.
- Once morphed into the super ggun,the weapon turns into a close quarters killer that is best used in hit & run tactics.

CHOKE (gravity gloves)
- Attack holds enemy and kills him immediately.
- Energy is unlimited but slow reloading.
Extremely short ranged.

BUGBAIT + antlion spawner
- Can be used for either call antlions,distract combines or spawn a new antlion.
- Makes you able to build your own bugs army anytime anywhere,if you feel like a necromancer/warlock.

COVENANT GRENADE
- Primary attack throws a sticky timed grenade in front of you.
- Secondary attack lobs instead one on the ground.
- Grenades are much more common in Substance than in vanilla HL2.

CLUSTER GRENADE
- Primary attack throws a grenade that explodes after very little time causing 4 trails of fire to burn to ashes everything they touch.
- Do not employ in tight enviroments for your own good.

CHAFF GRENADE
- Enemies caught in the explosion radius of this weapon betray their former allies and slaughter each other.
- Best if you don't like to get your hands dirty,and quite fun to watch.
- Unlimited self-recharging battery.

SLAM
- Primary attack throws a remotely controlled explosive device on the ground,or stick it on the wall as a laser mine if you face some bricks.
- Secondary attack triggers the blow.
- Use it to set up traps and link several explosions.

PROXIMITY HEADCRAB
- Primary attack releases an headcrab you previously stuffed with dark matter explosive,that explodes when an enemy enters its proximity range. Since The explosion doesn't hurt you,the proxcrab can be thrown directly at enemies in front of you.
- Kill headcrabs and pick them up to later stuff and use them as weapons!
- Big Boss is the only one capable of making proxcrab that are triggered by other explosions,to create link more traps together,but be aware this is much more risky.

QUAD LAUNCHER
- Shoots either guided or unguided missiles that can be also fast or slow.
- You can shoot many missiles rapidly one after another,up to having 5 at the same time in the air.
- Slow guided missiles can be brought with you through a level like the Metal Gear Nikita missiles.

ARMED AIRBOAT
- secondary fire: homing rocket. Airboats now have a secondary fire that shoots homing RPG rockets but depletes their autoreloading ammo stash very fast. Useful against striders, antlionguards or other hard enemies in the canals and beach levels.

--- 3 . HEV FORMS ---
---------------------

The HEV Forms are a hidden feature of your suit that customizes it toward different goals as tactics, espionage and action.

Press the "TAB" button to bring down the HEV Forms menu to switch form at any time and also read a brief description of each one: fastkeys are also available on the buttons "F1,F2,F3,F4 (default).

Every HEV Form gives you passive bonuses and 2 special abilities that you can activate with the "F" and "Shift" buttons (default).

The Gordon Freeman, Liquid Snake, Solid Snake and Big Boss HEV Forms are unlocked once you acquire the crowbar from Barney. The secret Hev Form Gray Fox, instead,requires you to complete the game (stop Breen from teleporting) before you can use it.

To avoid bugs,HEV Forms can only be used when you have acquired the suit from doctor Kleiner and the crowbar from Barney.

- THE GORDON FREEMAN FORM -
---------------------------

- primary ability: HEV Shield
This energy field protects you from all kind of attacks in general and from melee attacks in particular. Zombies, antlions and even the gigantic antlionguards will not be able to harm you with this barrier on.

- secondary ability: Thermal Flashlight
The flashlight has now a variable focus option: you can either make it wider, to brighten up dark areas, or concentrate it on targets until the incandescent ray burns them.

- passive ability: Armor
Gordon tweaks HEV chargers and batteries to get a +100% bonus from them.

Gordon Freeman is a MIT graduate: he is smarter than his enemies and this him the edge against his mindless enemies. Defensively speaking, he is king of the hill.
On the other side, some of his weapons need some brains to become effective: spawning manhacks, turrets and antlions requires management, while hunting for headcrabs to stuff them with explosive requires good eye. However, when loaded, an arsenal full of Irifle shots and proximity crabs makes them game a total fragfest in pure Quake 1 style.

- THE LIQUID SNAKE FORM
-----------------------

- primary ability: Killing Spree
All the weapons in the game become 10X stronger: use it when you have the upper hand in a fight, avoid it when many enemies are already attacking you.

- secondary ability: HEV Knuckles
Like the Doom berserk stimpack, this bonus makes your melee attack extra strong for a while, while suffering a small defense malus.

- passive ability: Super Throw
You know when the combine orders you to pick up that cup and put it into the trashcan?
Now you can directly stuck it into his skull.

passive ability: extended Bullet Time
Liquid has the largest amount of Bullet Time of the bunch,nearly a minute of uninterrupted Max Payne action.

Liquid Snake is a warrior whose power lies all in his brute force: barehanded or armed, he is stil able to dish high damage in all conditions. Always good in crowded areas.
His only weak point is the defense, but he can supply for that with his bullet time which grant him easy headshots.

- THE SOLID SNAKE FORM
----------------------

- primary ability: Stealth
Snake's suit is stealth camouflage equipped, meaning he can go invisible at any time.
However, the effect is not immediate and enemies can still hit you and therefore return you visible. Stealth consumes aux power very fast and receiving damage deples the gauge even faster.

- secondary ability: Fortune Device
This device emitts a strong electrical pulse that damages all the enemies around you, often killing a whole room of them. When the pulse is released, all your suit's systems go offline and bullets fired at you miss their target.

- passive ability: Speed
Snake's speed is not bound to the weapon he is carring, it's always at maximum.

Playing Snake can be described as being both the alien and the predator in Alien vs Predator: agile, stealthy, deceiving and brutal in close quarters fights.
His weapons are deadly, but they don't work well if you go Rambo through the levels.
Better instead watch your back and trick your enemies thanks to your abilities.

- THE BIG BOSS FORM -
---------------------

- primary ability: Morfine Shot
This ability heals you: 90% minor heal,10% major heal. However,it also makes your attacks against enemies to be weaker,while the morfine effects last.

- secondary ability: Nightvision
It comes in two varieties, Metal Gear Solid style and Splinter Cell style.

- passive ability: Crouch Mimetism
Crouch for some time and you will go mimetic, resulting in enemies being unable to see you until you move again.

Big Boss is the HEV Form of snipers and the most safe to play Survivor with, because of his easy way to acquire headshots to win health with, thanks to the Critical Hit System, or regenerate life points with the Morfine Shot ability. It surely takes precision but the flaregun is also there for when you feel in the mood for some pyroclastic fun!

---- GRAY FOX FORM ----
- the secret Hev Form -
-----------------------

- primary ability: Spectral Plane
A ghost's natural habitat, this is here that you escape to recharge when your energy drops too low.

- secondary ability: Fortune Device EX
A short-ranged smart bomb with unlimited ammo and gibbing damage.

- passive ability: Wrath
You are the King Midas of gore: everything you touch, it gruesomely gibs.

This HEV Form can only be selected from the HEV Forms menu once you have completed the game, stopping Breen from escaping from the citadel in the final level of the HL2S. Gray Fox is a both ninja and a ghost: lethal at close range and armed to the teeth for ranged battles, yet defensively weak when he is the physical world. Be aggressive and catch a break in the shadows when you need it, you have become death.

--- 5 . GAMEPLAY HINTS ---
--------------------------

- HEV Forms are balanced to be able and win any kind of challenges,but some are more powerful in the first half of the game while others are in the latter

- If you are very low on health and start bleeding,crouch for a few seconds and your life gauge will refill completely. When you are safe,get a morfine shot and life leech some weak enemy (like headcrabs) with Big Boss' hunting rifle.

- Solid Snake has always an alternative to raw fighting,thanks to his stealth suit,the chaff grenade and high speed.

- Liquid Snake is best used when you are certain that you will be the first one to hit the opponent.

- The only way to stop Gray Fox from losing health is to stay cloacked.

- Don't be stubborn if you keep dying and see you can't kill them all: running away makes the game faster paced and more enjoyable. However,killing all the enemies saves you FPS!

- Save your allies and let them heal you and themselves before a big battle,but don't hesitate killing them all if they betray you after a faulty grenade throw or something like that.

- Any fight can be won easily with bullet time and an headshot.

- Striders can be killed not only by the RPG as in normal HL2, but also by other weapons. The best ones to do so are the AWP,the vulcan cannon,the chaff grenade or any weapon of the secret hev form Gray Fox. Not as powerful but still useful are the I-Rifle and the M3,or picking up a mine with the gravity gun and tossing it at the strider's face with the berserk g-gun.

- Against melee attacks,the ability that grants best defense is the HEV Shield. Against ranged attacks,the Fortune Device grants complete invulnerability (because they will never hit you). Nothing can protect you from blasts and explosions,instead.

- In the canals levels,the best way to navigate is to aim the boat directly at the closer combine,run over him,and then proceed to the next one. This way you won't be hitting walls or taking wrong ways.

- When playing the Gordon Tales gamemode,every time an helicopter is chasing you in the Canals and Water Hazard chapters,your airboat is of the armed type. Use the gun mounted on it to destroy the buzzer,because its bombs are far more dangerous now.

- The spit of the bullsquid is homing: don't even try to avoid it,eliminate the beast as quick as possible.

- The houndeye's sonic blast is longer ranged than in HL1,watch out!

- Stalkers are scary but weak,kill them with melee weapons if you can.

- You can destroy gunships very fast if you fire your whole clip of rockets at the same time and make them hit the monster all together.

- The berserk gravity gun works better against zombies,especially poison ones.

- Play the VR Training to not only learn the basics of the mod,but also to discover all the cheat codes.

- The secret hev form Gray Fox and other extras can be unlocked by winning the game once,meaning you have to go in the Citadel chapter and stop Breen from teleporting away.

- Explore the Options -> Keyboard commands to find and customize the new action buttons as the Melee Attack,Throw Grenade,HEV Forms menu and fastkeys.

- Lowering the resolution,detail and audio quality settings to low is not ashameful and brings better performance in battle.

--- 5 . FAQ ---
---------------

Installation
Q) How do I install this mod?
A) Download the HL2 Substance GOLD 1.2 autoinstaller, run it and select Install Mod -> Install. The installation process will start. Disabling your firewall might be necessary for the installer to work correctly. Do not un-select the "copy HL2 cache" option, it is made to avoid long loading times.

Running
Q) How do I run this mod once I have it installed?
A) Run Steam, select Play Games -> Third Party Games -> HL2 Substance.

Uninstall
Q) How do I uninstall this mod?
A) Browse your "Program FilesvalvesteamsteamappsSOURCEMODS" directory and delete the HL2substance folder.

Performance
Q) I get choppy framerate, what do I do?
A) Then you customize your HL2 Launch Options: press the right button on the 'Half-Life 2' voice on Steam/PlayGames and then click on Properties > LaunchOptions to access them, and type: -console -debug -heapsize [half or your ram x 1000; mine is 1024 so I type -heapsize 512000].
Lower your audio-video settings to raise some labor from both the video card and processor (especially for the audio bargain). An example of low settings configuration that 'should' suit most computers (but not necessarily their owners) that I suggest you to use is: resolution at 800x600, textures at medium,audio at medium, AAS and anisotropic filters off.
Defrag your hd with Executive Software's Diskeeper.

Crashing
Q) I get crashes, what do I do?
A) This is directly connected to performance: speed it up to avoid crashes, see previous question. However, if you are stuck in a level because of a bug, just bring down the main menu and press the Bugfix Button you can see on the lower left.

Loading times
Q) The loading times are long, what do I do?
A) Loading times are naturally a bit longer in Substance, but the real problem comes when you uncheck the 'Copy HL2 Cache Files' option in the installer and the cache files do not get copied. You have to run the installer again, and leave the option checked. If for any reason you have to copy the cache files manually, just copy your complete half-life2hl2maps into sourcemodshl2substance.

Unlocking features
Q) How do I unlock the HEV Forms class system?
A) Acquire the crowbar from Barney.

Q) How do I unlock the secret HEV Form Gray Fox?
A) Beat the game by stopping Breen from teleporting.

Q) How do I access the Extra Chapter 15 aka Gordon Tales Extreme?
A) Beat the game once and if the chapter is not available immediately,restart HL2.

Some of the more frustrating ones are as follows:

- Each load zone restarts you as freeman.

- Each time you reload the game or hit a load zone your gun is reset to that characters default.

- I had to go in and manually change the config files for bigboss and freeman so that the melee weapon was their actual melee weapon for the quick smack thingy.
(Which by the way is their some way to mod the well, mod so that when you do the smack the hands switch from your preference to the opposite hand so it doesn’t look like you put your gun away and smacked and instead whipped out the knife or crowbar with the other hand for the illustrious ***** slapping? Even if you had to assign it to one or the other preference I don’t mind since I do the gun on the right anyhow.)

- The FN 2000 or what you listed as the OICW, for bigboss has a 25 round clip, which while being off from the real thing it doesn’t matter, but what does is that the ammo count on it thinks that when you reload the gun you take up 125 rounds, This is kinda funny and I feel for you on how frustrating it must have been getting this right cause I tried to correct this and have a 30 round count in the script and while it subtracts 30 from the count on a full re-load, you only have 6 rounds in the gun, so I set it back to 625 and 125 and just gave "alyxgun" 6000 rounds so I could keep using it, which by the way, it brought tears of joy to my eyes to see a real life serious assault rifle in HL2 ever since the OICW was raped from it back in 2003.

- Loading a save puts you back in a health position to moments before your death at times, which I now have stopped playing because I was stuck in a loop where it would re-load me in the same spot as I saved but blow me up the instant I spawned. I tried hitting consol to hit god mode so I could come out of it and not loose all my progress but it seems like I said your dead by the time you spawn anyhow. This happened in a frustrating but manage-able way previously when it would have me spawn at a bleeding and 11 health or other numbers, always not the figures I saved at.

Also just some suggestions and questions about little tweaks to this just for thought:

-First off, is that thing I mentioned with the hand switching above possible? If so how?

-Another thing is I was wondering if its possible to change this so that you can put say solid snake's silenced pistol and knife with superior animating to BB's so that they can be used with say the FN-2000, in addition to LS's cluster grenades and bad **** shotty, and lastly on top of that all in Gordon's HEV suit with his grenades (their the only ones that blow out snipers). I know that isn’t the point of the mod but It would be fun to do it so.

-Also is it possible to give the other character's duel pistols like those magnums, It just seems weird that the only duel wield happens to be one of the hardest guns to shoot with both hands alone, which is fine cause its totally badass, but it would also be cool if freeman and SS had an option for it as well since their pistols are also and even more so bad ass. I love that you can switch hands with the gun, makes me feel like I am sort of peaking the corner, but it seems that duel wields would be possible with all the guns, at least model wise. If its so, can you tell me what to change around?

-Your kick **** mod provides a lot of gibbing which is awsome, Ill reset the damage for gibs when I have had enough, but I couldn’t help but wonder how hard it would be, and this just as a suggestion, use the models of spine, bone and skull that HL2 provides (you often see them in assorted piles under those tongue grabber things), gore and such is also in a model form in the place of those charred parts of body you often see). Any ways I know nothing of modeling or porting such but judging from how difficult scripting is with HL2 I assume its quite a feat, just an HL1 skull and chunks seem so out of place in hl2.

-Lastly and most importantly, Is it possible to port just the guns, if not just the guns, can the guns incased in the HEV configs be ported to other mods and maps, I don’t think I can ever truly go back to playing with those *****ty selections valve gave us.

I love the mod you have made and even with the mentioned bugs probably will never go back to the original crap that valve did for combat. I look forward to seeing more stuff from you guys and hopefully the answers to my questions, and solutions if possible, either way this mod will still rock.

how do u get rid of the disgusting gore?
