Half-Life: Uplink Demo - File Description

Description:

Half-Life: Uplink is a demo version of Valve Software's 1998 first-person shooter computer game Half-Life, released on February 12, 1999. Uplink features many of the common enemies, characters, and weapons from the full game, but unlike the first Half-Life demo (Half-Life: Day One) and the Half-Life 2 demo, the location and scenario in this demonstration do not appear in Half-Life. Day One is an OEM version that features roughly the first fifth of the entire game. The Half-Life 2 demo features one chapter and the first level taken directly from the game. Like its successor's demo, however, Uplink was made available for download after the release of the full retail version of the game.

The Uplink chapters were cut during Half-Life's development phase, and roughly fit in prior to or during the Lambda Core chapter. They were, however, strongly revised for the demo release. Uplink also includes the same Hazard Course from the full release of Half-Life.

Do remember that this is a stand alone demo, which doesn't need and cannot be run through Steam at all

ahh i remember this demo, havn't seen it for almost 8 years. If I remember it right though, didn't it suck?

Nah, it didn't suck, it was quite fun to play. I played the lite version a couple of years ago (it works as a mod; therefore, you must have the full version of Half-Life installed).
Uplink has a short mission that was not included in the retail game, give it a try. Rock

There's a version you can download somewhere where it actually puts the demo INTO half life itself. It happens right after you step through a portal in the lamba labs, before you go to xen.

I remember playing this thing a few years back. Pretty cool demo, too bad it was cut out. When you start the demo and the music plays while the GOTY awards are appearing, where can you get the full version of that song?

Half-Life: Uplink doesn't work on Windows Vista 64-Bit.
There appear a Message which says:

"Your system reported only -1712.00K of physical memory, Half-Life requires at least 16 MB."

How I can run it?
