place env_cubemap in locations and run the buildcubemaps command ingame so the reflections are right.thats one thing you can improve.not ***** to download

I can't play Half-Life 2 on this computer, so i am unable to give more information about it. If you have any information about the map, feel free to give it so i can add it.

As a file uploader, you're supposed to play the map if there's no information, or at least write something about it.

im being honest here so dont take offence im only trying to point out whats a bit off with your maps so they can be improved
ok you need to optimize the the level a bit, im running it on a 7800GT and it is stuttering, and i can run my custom maps with HDR enabled atat least 60 fps, althoughi m not sure on how to optimise maps myself. did anyone else get a stuttering issue?
the cube map issue mentioned above.
try to end your map with a fade out. i was locked in an empty room at the end and thought that i had got lost, or this may be a bug or just me being stupid, anyway try this tutorial -http://www.akilling.org/akg/tutorials/wiseEnding.asp
try to add more props outside and inside like tables, trees, bushes, water etc, because the map looks really bare and some rooms were just empty boxes.
i cant think of anything else at this moment in time so keep up the good work. lol i know how hard mapping as im still learning myself. cheers for listening

it doesnt suck just needs a few additions to make it better, and the stuttering issue was something wrong with my sound so no need to optimise ^^ my bad lol, hope fully i should release my map soon, i expect you to be critical on mine smile

confused Well, what ATBLOODy said, is something you just have to do. Cubemaps makes a map a lot different, in a good way, because it looks better. And if it looks better, the map gets a more professional style.

I'm also building a single player map, and it's NOT my first one. I think it's my third or fourth. But I haven't uploaded them, and I won't because they turned out really bad. Tough, I've learned a lot during the process. The map I'm building now, have I worked on for almost 3 - 4 months. And I've only finished the first part... almost.stick out tongue
So my suggestion for everyone who are building a single player map is: Take your time! Don't get satisfied with something that is 99% finished.
