Description:
In this FakeFactory's High Resolution Pack, the Ultra Hires Add-on has been included. And he has done it again! After each of his release, he gets better and improves many textures in Half-Life 2.

    V2.12 Complete
    (Ultra Hires Addon included)
    ------------------------------------------------------


    In the old archive (2.0 to 2.11) there was a directory-structure error,
    preventing some hires-skins showing up in the game. This is fixed in
    this complete version. As a little bonus the new completly reworked
    Hires-Dr.Breen is included.


    What is this:
    -------------

    The HiRes Pack adds Hires-Textures to all human characters and some
    non-human characters, several props, vehicles and items (and the vending
    mashine of course).

    Additional Info for users of the FAKEFACTORY HiRes Packs 1.0 to 1.04 and
    the FAKEFACTORY Cinematic Mod 1.0 to 1.4: This pack combines all the
    FAKEFACTORY HiRes Packs together, fixes some glitches in several
    textures and adds some new ones. Just override the allready installed
    textures with the new ones in this pack (Instructions below).

    Requirements:
    -------------

    - Half-Life2 installed
    - A graphics-card, that can handle 2048 x 2048 pixel textures (any
    DirectX9 card should be okay).
    - plenty of RAM (you will see some ingame-stuttering with less than 1 GB
    ram)




    Installation for Vanilla Half-Life2:
    ------------------------------------

    Copy the complete folder "materials" with all its subfolders to <path
    to SteamApps>/<username>/Half-life 2/hl2/ and overwrite the old
    materials folder. If Windows will warn you about overwriting a existing
    folder, just overwrite it. This is okay, as only new textures are
    copied. The installation into the hl2 folder will change the textures
    for all allready and future installed mods. Recommended for user, who
    wants the new Hi-Res textures in all Half-Life2 Subgames and mods.

    Deinstallation: Delete the materials folder. No further action required,
    as Half-Life 2 will grab its textures out of the cfg repository.


    Installation for allready installed FAKEFACTORY Cinematic Mod Override
    Version:
    --------------------------------------------------------

    Copy the complete folder "materials" with all its subfolders to <path to
    SteamApps>/<username>/Half-life 2/hl2/ and overwrite the old materials
    folder. Windows will warn you about overwriting a existing folder. This
    is okay, as only new textures are copied.

    Deinstallation: Delete the materials folder. No further action required,
    as Half-Life 2 will grab its textures out of the cfg repository.



    Installation for allready installed FAKEFACTORY Cinematic Mod
    Non-Override Version:
    ------------------------------------------------------------

    Copy the complete folder "materials" with all its subfolders to <path
    to SteamApps>/SourceMods/fakefactory_cinematic and overwrite the old
    materials folder. Windows will warn you about overwriting a existing
    folder. This is okay, as only new textures are copied.

    Deinstallation: Delete the materials folder. No further action required,
    as Half-Life 2 will grab its textures out of the cfg repository.


    Installation for Garry's Mod:
    ----------------------------

    Copy the complete folder "materials" with all its subfolders to <path
    to SteamApps>/SourceMods/gmod/. Windows will warn you about overwriting
    a existing folder. This is okay, as only new textures are copied.

    Deinstallation: Delete the "Models", "Props", "Metal" and "Tile"
    subfolder inside the materials folder (not the materials folder itself!)


    About FPS:

    If you encounter badly FPS-drops, make shure to set
    mat_forcemanagedtextureintohardware "0" in your autoexec.cfg. And don't
    even think about installing the Hires-Textures with an outdated Directx8
    card, because most DX8 cards can't handle 2048 px textures very well. On
    my developer-hardware (X850XT PCIe, Dual-Xeon 3.2 GHz, Win2003, 4 GB
    RAM) the FPS-drop on highest resolution (1920 x 1200) is approx. 3-5
    frames with mat_forcemanagedtextureintohardware set to "0" (and approx.
    30 frames with set to "1").
