Dystopia Cyberspace Video - File Description  


Description:
This is a new release from the Dystopia team that shows one of the primary aspects of their mod, the Cyberspace "hacking". In this video you can see what cyberspace looks like, how players actually move around in cyberspace, and a few of the things that they can do while in cyberspace, such as opening doors or shutting down security for their teamates back in the real world. As usual, the trailer is well done, and is of high quality for easy viewing.

Readme File:
dys_cyberspace.exe is a self running bink video which shows a run through Dystopia's Cyberspace environment.

Cyberspace is a 3D representation of the level's computer network. While his team mates are involved in high action gun fights in the real world, the decker much jack in and battle for control of various systems in Cyberspace.

The footage was taken by a player taking on the decker role for the Corporate Security Forces team. This player has jacked into Cyberspace and makes a run from the high security red node (which controls the force field which protects the final objective), through the yellow node (which controls the security systems such as auto turrets) and finally through the green maintenance node (which has controls for the loading dock doors and maintenance access door).

This video should give everyone a good idea of the unique physics system which Team Dystopia have created for Cyberspace and the kind of speeds and incredible movement which is possible.

this looks like it's going to be a very well made mod and very much played mod from the two trailors i've seen, just wish they'd release some sort of beta soon

I like to think that it's because people have been so impressed by the video that they've lost the fine motor skills required to post a comment smile

BTU_Looser: We're currently in a closed beta which will continue until all our art content is in and we've squished all the bugs we can find. Then we'll be releasing a demo version of Dystopia. We're honestly aiming for the level of polish and stability that calling it a demo implies. No buggy, half complete "betas" for us thanks.

I've been a big fan of Cyberpunk, and I still play lots of Shadowrun today.

All I can say is. I can't wait for this MOD. I'm going to be playing it all day, the team really made cyberspace look damn amazing. I can' t wait.
