Description:
Earth's Special Forces (aka ESF), is a Half-life modification based on the hit anime series, Dragonball Z. Players take on the form of their favorite character to compete in fierce combat in one of ESF's many large scale environments. Both fast paced hand-to-hand combat and a variety of energy attacks supply players with a potent arsenal. No two characters are alike! They all have unique attacks, strengths, and weaknesses that accomidate different fighting styles.

The ESF openbeta is an exact copy of what is being tested inteam.
It might be unbalanced, buggy and contains some console commands to make testing easier, that could be considered hacks. If you want to play competitively at a stable server, this might not be the release for you. However, if you would like to take a look in our kitchen, you might want to check this out. No extra effort will be made to ensure things are complete or stable. The release will contain what ever new stuff has been added on that day of the release.

Install instructions:
To install, extract the zip file to your half-life dir (e.g. c:\program files\steam\SteamApps\<youremail>\half-life). If this directory does not exist, run half-life 1 through steam once first.

Advanced melee is currently disabled by default, it is very buggy, because most its animations are missing.
We do not plan on fixing this, since it will be replaced with a new system anyways. You can re-enable it using mp_simplemelee 1.
The same is true for Gohans shield, it is very buggy and needs so much new functionality that we plan on completely redoing it.
Therefor it is disabled for now.

I removed all the comments for a reason. So, first. Let me answer a few questions in the previous massive comments before people are going to complain again.

At first, this Dragonball z modification is for Half-Life 1! This will NOT work on the source version!.. Which means, NO Half-Life 2, No half-Life: Source, and NO Counter-Strike: Source. secondly. This game will only work on Steam, it will not work on WON

hey i downloaded the file and extracted it but i cant play it cause it only has a 'read me' for linux but im running windows!and it has no actual play file no esf_openbeta.exe nothing like that.Im stumped i have esf_1.2.3 and it runs mint,ive downloaded a few openbeta full files now and all have been exactly the same! i just want to know if there is a windows release or am i just a gimp???????? any help will be much appreciated cheerz!!!!! ESF ROKZ!! big grin
